MoJo: The Business of Food

We connect you to the farmers and fishermen who feed our souls. Because we believe when restaurants succeed, communities thrive.

Starting Up

If you think you’re ready to open your food business, whether it be a fine dining restaurant or a cozy little gastro pub, we’re here to help. Here are a couple success stories we’re happy to share:

Case The Pig And The Lady

The Pig and The Lady

When brothers Andrew and Alex Le contacted MoJo to help find them a bricks and mortar home for their incredibly successful pop up restaurant, it was clear that while these brothers had already found their mojo, they needed a very special place to grow. We found the ideal home in an historic building in Chinatown and from the moment the Le family opened their doors on N. King Street, the gorgeous brick walled urban dining room with street credit and city chic has been thriving.

MoJo helped us find our restaurant – but Jo helped us with so much more than just the space.”

—Alex Le, The Pig and The Lady

Case Bevy Bar

Bevy Bar

MoJo has a special place in our hearts, as they were the one who were able to find the ideal location for our first business. Not only did Jo take in to consideration what we wanted, Jo also went above and beyond time and time again, thinking like we do, and coming up with ideal place and working out a deal, that meant we could be sustainable. We look forward to the future, new exciting projects, and being able to continue working with MoJo.

A large part of our success is the foundations that we were able to lay down because of the hard work of Jo.”

—Christian Self, Owner, Bevy Bar

Case Island Olive Oil

Island Olive Oil

Dana Bergman already had a successful construction company when he decided that the one thing the Honolulu food scene needed was a place to taste fresh olive oil and vinegar. Within months from the conception of his incredible idea, IOO was open for business in a small space at Ward Center, previously a part of Paul Brown Salon and Day Spa.

Today, Dana has two stores open (the second, in Royal Hawaiian Center opened in November 2013) and has plans to continue his strong growth.

It’s not just about commercial real estate with MoJo,” says Dana. “Jo is like a member of our team. And she’s always there to help.”
Case Pint And Jigger

Pint & Jigger

MoJo considers the relationship with Pint and Jigger to be one of the most fulfilling and joyous restaurant experiences. From finding P&J their first home, to working out when the time came to grow, to being there for every step of the way along the road, MoJo and Pint and Jigger share the same core beliefs - that neighborhood business is good for the neighborhood. and with the right team in place, anything is possible.

We love Jo. She’s not just our commercial real estate advisor. She’s part of our Pint and Jigger family.”
